Burnley are set to welcome NBC’s Premier League broadcasting team to Turf Moor this weekend in an momentous weekend for the North American sports channel.
All of NBC’s on-screen presenters and pundits - including Rebecca Lowe, Kyle Martino, Robbie Mustoe, Robbie Earle, Lee Dixon, Graeme Le Saux And Arlo White – plus senior production staff, are descending on a sell-out Turf Moor for Saturday’s game with Arsenal.
It is the first time a Premier League international rights holder has travelled to the UK en-masse and their debut on-site screening is set to be beamed, free-to-air to around 95% of US homes on their main network channel.
Former Clarets defender Dixon will set the scene ahead of the game as he shows American viewers around a much-changed Turf Moor from his time here in the mid-1980s.
The Premier League is also working with NBC Sports to provide a ‘behind the scenes’ experience, which includes an interview with the Clarets’ American Chief Executive, Lee Hoos, on his countrymen’s historic visit.
NBC with be joined at Turf Moor by broadcasters from UK-based Sky Sports, Be-IN Sports from the Middle East, TV2 Norway, Viasat Denmark and Canal+ from France in what is the largest ever influx of broadcasters to ever visit Turf Moor.
NBC will follow their visit to Turf Moor by broadcasting live from Sunday's Manchester derby, followed by Liverpool v Newcastle on Monday night.
