Burnley Connect passengers will see a splash of claret and blue on the exterior of one of their newly-painted buses from tomorrow.
The travel partnership between Burnley Football Club and Transdev, who operate the Burnley Connect route, is the culmination of work which has also seen £1m invested into nine new vehicles, new destinations such as Boundary Mill and a completely new brand replacing ”Starship”.
The bus will be officially unveiled tomorrow morning from 11am and will be on display outside the football club as part of the ‘Best of Burnley Festival’ before the side’s big Premier League match against Leicester City.
The festival is set to attract 40 stalls from the great and good of Burnley, who will line the main thoroughfare to Turf Moor.
Fans will be treated to live music by the Milltown brothers and several local bands. Young Clarets will also get the chance to show off their skills at the X-Box Party Van, where fans can compete against each other. There will also be face painting for children.
Routes for the new Burnley Connect service take in shopping hotspots and popular destinations and the newly-painted Burnley Connect ‘Follow the Clarets’ bus will be seen on route 1 between Burnley, Pike Hill, Worsthorne and Stoops Estate and around the Burnley area.
The Burnley Connect service is a fantastic way for supporters to get to Turf Moor and we encourage everyone not just fans to use our newly branded bus and follow the Clarets before you even get to the ground!
