Sean Dyche has confirmed that the experienced trio of Ross Wallace, Steven Reid and Matt Taylor will all come back into contention this weekend.
Long-term absentee Taylor has been out for the majority of the season with an Achilles problem, while Wallace (knock) and Reid (calf) both missed last Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
Dyche is delighted to be welcoming back three players with a wealth of Premier League experience as the season enters its final throes.
He said: “Matty Taylor has trained with us today and he’s had a couple of ups and downs but comes back into at least the squad thinking.
“Ross has trained with the physios today but we’re hopeful that he’ll train tomorrow and Steven Reid trained with the team today so they will all hopefully be back in contention.”
Norwegian international midfielder Fredrik Ulvestad was amongst the matchday squad for the first time last weekend against Spurs on the bench.
And the Clarets boss confirmed that he will be in the thinking again for the visit of Arsenal as he continues to adjust to life in the Premier League.
Dyche added: “It’s important that he adjusts to what we try and do here but part of that is through being involved.
“That’s why he was involved last weekend and don’t get me wrong if we needed to use him we would.
“But ideally we want to get him a feel of what we’re about, what the club is about and the crowd as well as the feeling in games so I think last time out it was good value for him moving forwards.”
