Burnley FC in the Community is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual to the full time role of Employment and Education Officer.
The role will involve managing and delivering a range of provision for young people and adults including the new Barclays Premier League Works Programme.
This position is for a fixed term of two years and presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team.
As part of this role your primary objective will be to oversee the successful delivery of the Barclays Premier League Works Programme.
This programme is targeted at young adults that are either long term unemployed or at risk from becoming unemployed. The ideal candidate will have;
• A teaching qualification or a degree/HND in sport/community development.
• Experience of working with either young people or adults in an educational environment.
• An ability to motivate, inspire and mentor young people or adults towards achieving their goals.
• An ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a range of partners.
• Proven experience of providing excellent customer experience.
The key role of the officer is to market the programme to local young people, recruit and retain participants on the programme and plan, organise and deliver all elements of the project.
The successful candidate will be expected to implement an efficient referral process with local partner agencies and will be responsible for the administrative and all monitoring aspects of the programme.
Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work some evenings and weekends. You will also be required to oversee short residential trips so must be able to stay away from home if required.
You will require a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle. You will also be highly proficient with IT.
