Lukas Jutkiewicz has praised the support of the Burnley fans ahead of this weekend’s reunion with former club Everton.
Jutkiewicz believes the support shown from the fans will only benefit the team as they look to get that elusive first win of the Premier League season on the board.
The former Everton man, who played for the Toffees between 2007- 2010, said: “The fans have been amazing in their support in all the games so far, even the ones that haven’t gone so well.
“The manager is trying to instil positivity in the club from top to bottom and the fans have embraced that.
“There has been no negativity; everyone just supporting the lads and that can only benefit us.”
Jutkiewicz joined the Toffees at 17 after starting his career with Swindon Town. And despite only registering one Premier League appearance for the first team, at Goodison Park against Sunderland, the striker is
looking forward to coming up against his former employees.
He said: “It’s a great club with great facilities and this is a great chance to get to play against them if selected.
“For us, the ‘one game at time mentality’ is the only way to look at it.
“We just look to next challenge, that’s the way the manager seems to do it and you have to agree with that as there is no point in looking too far ahead.
“It’s important to build in the week and be ready for the next challenge and that challenge is Everton next.”
