Burnley FC in the Community have joined forces with Transdev who operate the Burnley and Pendle bus services to support unemployed young people get into work or further education.
Burnley FC in the Community is delivering the Barclays Premier League Works programme at Turf Moor which will involve delivering three 12-week course over the course of the next year.
Transdev will support the programme by providing free bus passes for the young people to ensure they can get to Turf Moor every day to complete the course. Acting Marketing Manager, John Burns visited the young people on day one of the course earlier this week and handed over the free bus passes.
John Burns, at Transdev said, “We are delighted to offer our support to this fantastic and often unsung initiative that is offering real help to our local young people with regards to education and employment.
"Our young people may not have access to Transport and we are only to happy to be able to bridge that all important gap.”
