Clarets Lottery Foundation Evening

2 November 2014

Foundation members attend Q&A event

Sean Dyche took part in an informative Q&A with Clarets Foundation members at Turf Moor recently.

The Q&A was the latest in a long line of events held by the Clarets Foundation to reward its members for their support in helping the Club to raise funds for the youth development programme.

Around 350 Foundation members attended the event and they were given the opportunity to get their questions across to the gaffer and gain an insight into his plans for the club’s future.

Questions were invited from the floor and Dyche answered questions for more than an hour and a half, ranging from whether or not he had Premier League expectations when he joined Burnley Football Club to the club’s summer transfer dealings, the January transfer window and what can be done to improve the atmosphere at home games.

Kathryn Ellidge, a Foundation member and season ticket holder in the Jimmy McIlroy stand said: “It was an excellent evening which was well attended with good questions asked. No subject was off limits and Sean answered them all in detail and some with humour”.

“What a good ambassador Sean Dyche is for the club. We may be small, we may have a limited budget but we have a great manager to take us forward”.

Fellow Foundation member Anthony Black, who has been a supporter of the club for over 50 years, added: “While I’ve been a Foundation member since it began, this is the first function I’ve ever attended and it was a very interesting, informative and entertaining evening as Mr Dyche answered every question thrown at him, some quite challenging, yet he shirked nothing and his honesty and integrity shone through”.

“I’m sure the vast majority, if not all, who attended the evening would echo my thoughts and feel encouraged that we do have the right man at the helm to lead our Club forward”.

“Thanks to the Clarets Foundation for providing the opportunity to meet and listen to our manager and all the very best to Sean Dyche in all he and his team are trying to achieve at Burnley Football Club”.

On the night Foundation members also learned the results of a draw to decide which six lucky finalists will go through to the grand final of our Annual Jackpot Draw. Due to take place at the half-time interval of the Hull City match next month, the draw will see each of the following six finalists win a share of the £12,600 jackpot:

Mr Furber, G Mazza, Colin Roberts, Mrs Poole, S Robinson, Ian Hollis
