Clarets oldest fan Hartley keeps his connection with the club through our new community initiative.
Burnley FC in the Community recently welcomed a very special guest at our ‘Extra Time’ opening; a Burnley fan who has supported the team for over 100 years!
Hartley Eastwood, at 107 years old, has truly been a life-long Claret fan, cheering on his childhood team for over a century.
His passion and loyalty for the club has not dwindled in the over the last century, his enthusiasm peaking when he visited the home dug-out which resulted in him shouting ‘UP THE CLARETS’.
Hartley’s visit to our Extra Time event highlights that there is no age limit for the backing of our team and the support that lasts over generations!
‘Extra Time’ focuses on bringing a large number of the community together, with a real motivation to further communication and relationships with over 60’s in the local area.
With activities including carpet bowls, assorted games, tours of the ground and pitch-side walks, the variation of activities available will appeal to all senior citizens.
This weekly activity is FREE and exclusive to all over 60’s, ‘Extra Time’ takes place at Burnley Football Club every Wednesday between 10am and 12noon.
If you want to come along to ‘Extra Time’ please contact Matt Hargreaves at firstname.lastname@example.org, or through the community telephone number on 01282 704716.
