Danny Up For Top League Award

Clarets hot-shot Danny Ings is in line for more honours at Sunday's Football League awards.

Ings,whose 25 goals this season have already earned him an England U21 call-up and a SkyBet Player of the Month award, is shortlisted for the prestigious Championship Player of The Year award at the industry's glittering ceremony at The Brewery in London.

Ings will contest the main award with Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City) and 
Ross McCormack (Leeds United).

The Sky Bet Player of the Year awards have been voted for by managers of the clubs in each division.

Each manager was asked to list their top five players from this season in order, with the scores added up to get a shortlist and an overall winner.

The Football League Awards honour achievements, both on and off the pitch, across The League's 72 clubs, rewarding players, clubs and fans in 13 categories.
