Classy Clarets Equal Another Record

3 March 2014

Burnley’s victory over Derby County set a new benchmark for Sean Dyche’s side.

The 2-0 win ensured the Clarets completed a calendar year unbeaten at Turf Moor in the league, stretching back to March 2013.

And the current unbeaten home run of 21 league matches equals the third best sequence in the club’s history, previously achieved in 1901.

However we have a little way to go yet to get near the club record, set during the club’s first golden era before the First World War.
