Burnley FC in the Community is pleased to announce a partnership with Paul Wozny which will see the implementation of a grassroots football programme across Australasia.
Paul will take up the new role as Head of Football Development - Australasia to foster participation and enjoyment for the next generation of players.
Burnley FC in the Community has a mission to inspire communities, support communities... and deliver change in communities. This will be achieved through the delivery of a wide range of projects. This partnership will see Paul involvement with Burnley FC transfer from the club's academy to its charitable trust.
Neil Hart, Head of Community at Burnley FC said: "With Paul's long association with Burnley FC, it is great that he has come on board in this new capacity as we become more involved with communities across the world.
"With the promotion of Burnley FC into the Barclays Premier League we wish to share this success and the journey with the global community.
“Paul's youth academy background and experience as a coach educator will lend itself perfectly to developing the game throughout the southern hemisphere through mentoring local coaches, developing player pathways, and positively promoting the game and the Burnley FC brand.
"Young players throughout the Australasia region will have a fantastic experience enjoying their football. Participation is a vital aspect of the work Burnley FC in the Community undertakes."
