Burnley Football Club would like to clarify the position regarding the ‘Wall of Legends’ bricks.
The incomplete sections of bricks, located on the external wall of the Jimmy McIlroy stand, are set to consolidated in one area as, regrettably, they have become unsafe and no further bricks will be sold in those areas.
Existing bricks in the two completed displays will remain in the same location, unless the purchaser of the bricks in those areas wishes to move to the new ‘Forever Claret’ scheme.
This work, which will be undertaken by a new manufacturer, aims to improve the appearance and safety aspect, address the sensitive nature of the replacement programme and provide longevity.
Owners of bricks in these locations therefore have two choices:
Should the owners not opt for the new ‘Forever Claret’ scheme and their brick is damaged during the consolidation process, it will be replaced by the club at no charge. This was made clear when the club was contacted by the local press for comment.
Alternatively, as a ‘Wall of Legends’ brick holder, you have the option to upgrade your brick to a high quality granite, commemorative stone which will include your original message.
These stones will be located in a new location, along the façade of Bob Lord Stand on Harry Potts Way, and are available in three sizes, ranging from a single stone at 200 x 100 mm to a celebration stone at 600 x 200 mm.
All current ‘Wall of Legends’ brick holders are entitled to a £30 discount voucher to be used towards the cost of a new ‘Forever Claret’ stone.
If you would like to upgrade your brick from the Jimmy McIlroy stand and would like to retain your original brick, this can also be arranged when new stones are installed.
