Burnley Football Club’s By Official Appointment (BOA) scheme continues to go from strength to strength.
And it all came together at our best event yet at Turf Moor last week.
The ‘Curry Club’ welcomed all members of BOA for a networking lunch and to hear from motivational speaker Mark Crabtree OBE.
Darren Grantham, Head of Membership Services for the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said: “The first Curry Club at Burnley was a fantastic success, with over 150 East Lancashire businesses in attendance.
“The Chamber has always been an advocate of partnership working and the opportunity to develop a networking event between the Chamber’s members and the BOA members proved to be an extremely positive move.
“Working together we hope that we can establish a regular business networking group to enable businesses from our region to meet over a great curry lunch and to have access to excellent speakers that can carry a positive message about the great work being done in East Lancashire.
“Networking has always been an important business tool and the ability to speak with other business people in an informal setting is a great way to generate new connections and of course develop new customers.
“We look forward to the next Curry Club at Turf Moor on May 30.
“Judging by the first event early booking is highly recommended.”

“The inaugural Curry Club at Burnley Football Club was a very enjoyable and informative event with over 175 local business people in the room. Mark Crabtree OBE was an excellent speaker who provided an insight into the success of his own East Lancashire business and the worldwide appeal to the area itself.

Amy Stokes, Forbes Solicitors
“I attended the BOA/East Lancs Chamber Curry Club on Friday with a colleague and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The event was extremely well attended by business professionals, the atmosphere was professional yet relaxed and the food and hospitality provided by Burnley Football Club was second to none! The talk given by Marc Crabtree, AMS Neve was interesting and inspiring, bringing to light just how enterprising Burnley can be.
“A well organised networking opportunity for anyone looking to make new connections.”
