Burnley striker Danny Ings has been selected for England’s Under 21 side for their upcoming European Championship qualifier against Wales, at Derby’s Ipro Stadium on Wednesday, March 5.
Ings, who now has a magnificent return of 24 goals in 36 appearances for the Clarets this season, will look to continue his impressive start to life on the International stage.
The 21 year-old striker already has two caps for Gareth Southgate’s side, and scored twice in his home debut against San Marino at Shrewsbury last November.
His other appearance came in the away fixture to the same nation, coming on a substitute in his first ever International match at any level in October.
England currently top of their group in qualifying for the 2015 finals in Czech Republic, six points clear of Wednesday opponents Wales, who lie third.
Ings will join up with the Under-21 squad next week, following the Clarets top of the table clash with Derby County this Saturday at Turf Moor (Kick off 3pm).
