Sean Dyche has hinted at shuffling his pack for Tuesday's Capital One Cup second round tie against Sheffield Wednesday.
The Clarets host the Owls at Turf Moor (7.45pm) as they look to return to winning ways following back-to-back Premier League defeats.
And Dyche, who named the same starting eleven in the opening day loss to Chelsea and again at Swansea last Saturday, is contemplating fielding some of his first team squad who have yet to taste a competitive start.
He said: "There's a different feel to the cup because of the enormity of the Premier League.
"We have always respected all of the cups and we will do that again, but it's also important that we use players.
"We have a deeper squad that last season and we need to make sure that players are fit because everyone can see the demands that are on the players here, so we will look at the idea of change.
"That's not necessarily what we are going to do, but players do need games and there is a bigger picture to our season and that's here for all to see."
Dyche, who continues to seek new recruits with the transfer deadline now just a week away, added: "I think I am loyal to players, but I am not naively loyal and I need to see the people we have brought in and how they operate and can effect the team, because we have brought them in for a reason."
Tickets for Tuesday's game, priced at just £15, £10 and £5, are still available, online via telephone on 08712211914 (opt 1) and in person from the ticket office.
Supporters are respectfully asked to purchase tickets in advance of kick off in order to avoid queues at the ticket office.
