King Gets England Call-Up

Clarets goalkeeper Connor King has received a call up to the England squad to face Wales next month in the U16 Sky Sports Victory Shield.

Connor, an Academy U15 goalkeeper in his third season at Turf Moor, recently linked up with England at an U16 training camp at St George’s Park 

And the 14-year-old will now link up with Kenny Swain’s 18-man squad again for the Victory Shield clash at Kidderminster Harriers FC on Friday, October 4.

Congratulations to Connor, from everyone at Burnley Football Club.

Goalkeepers: Connor King (Burnley), Ryan Sandford (Millwall).

Defenders: Danny Collinge (MK Dons), Benjamin Cull (Southampton), Ro-Shaun Oman Williams (Manchester United), Reece Oxford (West Ham United), Ben Sheaf (West Ham United), Charlie Wakefield (Chelsea), James Yates (Everton).

Midfielders: Liam Bell (Newcastle United), Tom Davies (Everton), Jacob Maddox (Chelsea), William Patching (Manchester City), Christopher Willock (Arsenal).

Forwards: Rishian Hepburn-Murphy (Aston Villa), Kaylen Hines (Arsenal), Layton Ndukwu (Leicester City), Adam Phillips (Liverpool).
