Burnley manager Sean Dyche and striker Danny Ings have both been shortlisted for the monthly Sky Bet awards.
Dyche, who won the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award in September, is again nominated after steering the Clarets to the top of the division with four straight wins.
The Clarets boss, who could become the first ever Burnley manager to win the award in successive months, faces competition from Steve McClaren (Derby County), Nigel Pearson (Leicester City) and Chris Powell (Charlton Athletic).
Ings, who scored three goals in four games in October, capped a fine month with a debut England U21 call-up to earn his nomination for Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month.
His rivals for award are Middlesbrough’s Albert Adomah, Wigan defender Emerson Boyce and Nottingham Forest’s Henri Lansbury.
The judging panel for both awards comprises former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley; Sky Sports Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins.
The winners will be announced on Friday morning.
