Thanks For Your Support

5 May 2013

Saturday’s final game of the season ended in a lap of appreciation at Turf Moor by Burnley Football Club players and management.

During this end-of-season tradition, Clarets striker Danny Ings ran 50-yards to present his boots to a young disabled fan called Joe, sitting on the pitch perimeter.

Club photographer Andy Ford captured this moment of generosity perfectly and shared it through his Twitter account on Saturday evening.

Immediately, the picture went viral, being retweeted hundreds of times and leading to a flood of complimentary tweets from football fans throughout the UK, and across the globe.

The club has also received many e-mails congratulating Danny on his sporting gesture.

Burnley Football Club prides itself on being at the very heart of the community and we feel this picture perfectly illustrates the connection players, management and staff have with supporters and the general public.

We are happy to share this remarkable shot as an enduring image of the 2012/13 season.

Burnley Football Club would like to thank you for all your support this season and wish you an enjoyable summer.
