Burnley Football Club is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Alex Cisak is set to join the Clarets from Oldham Athletic. The 24 year old 6ft 4 goalkeeper has agreed a two-year-contract at Turf Moor and will officially join Burnley on 25 June.
Cisak, who made 59 appearances in a two-year stay with the Latics, will become manager Sean Dyche’s second signing of the summer following the agreed transfer of goalkeeper Tom Heaton from Bristol City.
Australian U20 international Cisak, 24, began his career with Leicester City, and later enjoyed spells with Accrington Stanley and Portsmouth.
Dyche said: “He is someone who wants to improve and get better and most of all wants to be number one which is imperative as we want the players to demand and challenge to be in the team and to perform”
The official website will carry a full interview with Alex when the players return for pre-season training later this month.
Burnley Football Club can also confirm that striker Wes Fletcher has today agreed a deal to sign for York City after reaching the end of his contract at Turf Moor, which expires this summer.
With fixtures for the new season released 19th June, as well as the launch for the new 13/14 home kit, excitement is starting to build for Sean Dyches first full season in charge of the Clarets.
