Loan deal for Alex MacDonald
Alex MacDonald has secured a loan move to League Two promotion chasers Burton Albion.
The Clarets’ forward has joined the Brewers on a month’s loan as he seizes the prospect of first-team football.
MacDonald clinched his switch to the Pirelli Stadium after playing for Burnley’s Development Squad at Everton on Thursday morning.
And his move to Burton means a further taste of League Two action for the 22-year-old, who spent three months on loan at Plymouth Argyle earlier this season.
The former youth team player at Turf Moor made 17 appearances for the Pilgrims, including one in a defeat to Burton last November.
MacDonald – who has played 17 times for the Clarets, including two appearances at the start of the season – has also had previous loan spells at Plymouth, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Falkirk.
