Gaffer Hails Clarets' Backing

Sean Dyche looks forward to Reebok following

Sean Dyche is looking forward to the backing of a full away end at the Reebok Stadium as he gears up for another Lancashire derby.

Dyche’s one experience of a derby clash as Burnley boss ended in a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers last December.

And with the Clarets’ fans snapping up all of the available tickets for Saturday’s short trip to Bolton Wanderers he is expecting another vibrant atmosphere as Burnley look to close in on the top six and keep the Trotters in relegation danger.

“I spoke when I came in about the connection between the fans and the players and I think it’s there,” said Dyche.

“If can of course be built upon. We had 950 at Peterborough last week which is a great number to take all the way down there and when they see the players giving everything it bodes well.

“I think we will have three-and-a-half thousand on Saturday and it will be a good experience for myself, not just the players and the fans.

“I am learning more and more about these derbies. I am obviously constantly made aware that Blackburn is the real key one!

“But these are derbies as well, although the main focus is on performing and winning, not who you are playing against.”
