Clarets hopeful on defender absence
Boss Sean Dyche has his fingers crossed that Michael Duff will not be a long-term absentee as the defensive stalwart recovers from injury.
Duff is set to miss the Clarets’ up-coming home double-header against Huddersfield and Middlesbrough with the calf strain he sustained during Burnley’s draw at Peterborough at the start of the month.
But scans have showed no major damage and the long-serving centre-back could be back in action for the final dozen fixtures of the Championship campaign.
“We are hopeful that it will be two to three weeks,” confirmed Dyche.
