Clarets make losing home return
The Clarets lost for the second league game in a row as they finally got back to action at Gawthorpe.
Burnley were unable to overturn a 2-0 half-time deficit in their first home game since mid-November.
Terry Pashley’s side, made up of first-year scholars and schoolboys, had plenty of chances to gain some reward for a decent enough performance.
But only Jamie Frost could hit the target as he rifled the ball home following a fine pass from Lewis Nuttall eight minutes into the second half.
The Clarets also lost Evan Galvin to an early challenge which saw the striker taken to hospital for a check on an ankle injury.
Burnley: Jakovlevs, Azam (Dummigan 67), Holt, Whitmore, Hill, Jackson, Daly, Lowe, Frost, Galvin (Metz 5), Nuttall (Massanka 67). Subs: Bianga, Mitchell.
