Burnley striker Danny Ings has been backed to make it a magnificent seven at Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
Ings, back in full flow following two injury-ravaged seasons with the Clarets, is now reaping the benefits of a full pre-season and has scored in his last six games, including four in warm-up games, the opening day Championship strike against Bolton and another at York in midweek.
And manager Sean Dyche and Clarets defender Kieran Trippier are both tipping Ings to continue his blistering start to the campaign and help fill the void left following the departure of Charlie Austin,
Dyche said: “We want to get goals from everywhere and attack with freedom. I don’t think Danny has held back in coming forward to lead the attack. He has been brilliant for us, scoring goals and creating chances and long may that continue.”
Trippier, who believes Ings has the ability to be one of the leading goal scorers in the division, added: “Danny has scored in his last six games, is a very good player and if we can keep him fit and keep him playing, he will score lots of goals."
