Lafferty and Vokes link up with Home Nations
Clarets’ full-back Daniel Lafferty and striker Sam Vokes have both been called up to represent their countries this week for Northern Ireland and Wales respectively.
Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland host Russia in a World Cup qualifying match on Wednesday 14 August (7.45pm kick-off) at Windsor Park.
Derry-born Lafferty currently has four caps to his name and will be hoping to add to that total having made a good start to the new season at Turf Moor.
Meanwhile, Sam Vokes has been included in the Wales squad for the forthcoming friendly against the Republic of Ireland.
Vokes, who notched his first goal of the season against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, has represented Wales 25 times, scoring five goals.
The game at the Cardiff City Stadium also takes place on Wednesday 14 August (7.45pm kick-off).
