Wrexham Youths 0 Burnley Youths 1

13 April 2013

Burnley Youth team ended the season in style with a third successive victory against champions Wrexham.

The Welshmen were presented with the Youth Alliance League trophy following the game, which saw the Clarets on top throughout.

However, it was a late Nathan Lowe header that finally broke Wrexham’s resistance and saw the Clarets end their own campaign with a victory.

Second half substitute Christian Hill was the provider, outmuscling the full back and crossing for Lowe to head home from eight yards.

Jamie Frost could have added to Burnley’s tally moments later with a shot that crashed back off the crossbar.

BURNLEY: Mitchell, Dummigan, Holt, Whitmore, Azam, Daly, Ly, Lowe, Frost, Jackson (Hill 55), Nuttall.
Subs: Jakovlevs, Bianga, Massanka
