Jack's Back as Clarets beaten by Black Cats
Burnley’s Development Squad lost 2-1 to Sunderland at Turf Moor in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
Luke O'Neill, playing at centre back in a 45-minute run out, opened the scoring with a header from an 15th minute corner.
The Black Cats levelled things up in the 56th minute with a cool finish and grabbed the winner in the 70th minute with a sublime curling effort from the edge of the box.
The Clarets were boosted by the second half return of Jack Errington, who underwent heart surgery late last year to repair an enlarged aorta.
The 18-year-old defender followed up a 30-minute run-out in last week's youth team friendly with Manchester United with another half hour as he steps up his rehabilitation.
