BIG PREVIEW: Burnley v Nottingham Forest

1 April 2013

Burnley v Nottingham Forest
Turf Moor
1/4/13 (kick-off 3pm)

Overview
Burnley go into the game with Ben Mee available again following his one-match suspension, served in Good Friday’s 3-3 draw at Watford. The Clarets are, however, likely to be without Michael Duff, who suffered a calf strain at Vicarage Road. Midfielder Dean Marney is also a continuing doubt.
Forest arrive at Turf Moor having seen their six-game winning run brought to an end in the weekend draw with Brighton and Hove Albion.
However, they remain on course for a top-six finish.

Team news:

Burnley: Ben Mee is available for selection after serving his one-match ban for his sending off at Ewood Park. Michael Duff is a doubt after pulling up in the warming at Watford.
Forest: Adlene Guedioura picked up a head injury in their weekend game against Brighton. Sam Hutchinson (groin) and Darius Henderson (back) could also feature after injury.

Stat of the day: If Nottingham Forest win at Turf Moor, both teams would have won 36 league games against each other.

They say:
Sean Dyche: “It’s important to generate that positivity at Turf Moor. We had it en-masse at Blackburn and we got it again on Good Friday, with the brave people travelling all the way to Watford.
That positivity is such a really, really important feeling and equally, if performances are not quite where they should be we need the fans.
Now if course, we want to give the fans that feeling and it is a two-way thing, But if we can bring that Blackburn spirit and feeling and take that into Monday then I am sure we can deliver a performance and get the three points that we call want.”

Billy Davies: “It’s important we prepare properly and hopefully that will allow us to at least pick up enough points to remain in the playoff places.”

Referee: Mr Nigel Miller
