Boss Eddie Howe holds off loan moves and backs current players to come good
Eddie Howe is backing his current crop of players to get the Clarets’ campaign back on track.
With the loan transfer window back open, Howe has been linked with a number of potential striker signings.
But with fit-again frontman Martin Paterson back in the frame and Danny Ings set to return before Christmas, the Burnley boss is in no rush to look for outside reinforcements.
“If we need to act we will, although at the moment I back the squad that I have,” insisted Howe.
“I believe it’s good enough and unless we get any more injuries that’s how we will go.
“I think it’s very difficult to bring in players that are better than the ones we have.
“So until that isn’t the case and until we can improve the team then I probably won’t look to move.”
