Clarets striker steps up comeback with treble

 

Danny Ings burst back onto the goalscoring scene with a hat-trick in Burnley Development Squad's 8-2 thrashing of Barrow.


The Clarets striker recently stepped up his comeback from knee surgery to make substitution appearances for the first team at Bristol City and Cardiff.


And as he continued his recovery in Wednesday's behind-closed-doors game at Gawthorpe, he caught the eye of new manager Sean Dyche with a stunning treble. 


The game, which featured a mix of first team squad members and youngsters, saw further goals for Wes Fletcher (2), Danny Lafferty, George Porter and Cameron Howieson.
