Winger flies to help of League One side
Clarets winger George Porter has signed a new year youth loan with Colchester United.
The former Leyton Orient winger, who last summer signed a three-year contract with the Clarets after a £90,000 fee was agreed at tribunal, joins the League One side from January 1, 2013.
And Porter, 20, could well be involved in United’s New Year’s Day game at Crawley Town.
Porter has made the Clarets first team once this season, as an un-used substitute in the Capital Once Cup third round defeat at Swindon Town.
Meanwhile, the Clarets have cancelled the remainder of the contract of teenage midfielder Mehdi Lazaar by mutual consent.
