The Clarets Development Squad continued their winning start to pre-season with a 3-1 victory at Brocton.
Goals from Jamie Thomas, Harry Limb (pictured above) and Khius Metz earned Michael Duff’s side a third straight win following his summer move up from coaching the U18.
The hosts took the lead with just 20 minutes gone as Anthony Juxon nodded in a corner kick, before Thomas pulled one back just before the break.
The Clarets then took the lead after Limb smashed home a penalty after the youngster was brought down in the area, before Metz sealed the victory late on by slotting home from close range.
It was Brocton who looked lively in the opening stages of the game and came close when Jamie Evans whipped in a dangerous cross before Arlen Birch cleared the danger.
However, the hosts did take the lead minutes later as Juxon rose to glance a header past former Brocton keeper Aiden Stone.
The Clarets then tested Brocton stopper Adam Jenkins as Christian N'Guessan found Rahis Nabi outside the box.
And Burnley did then get their deserved equaliser as Thomas broke through into the box before coolly slotting past Jenkins.
The away side came out with renewed attacking intent and when Limb was brought down in the box on the hour mark, the former Wisbech Town striker stepped up and slammed the resulting spot kick into the top corner.
The youngster were enjoying possession of the ball in the second half and when Wood teed up Nabi outside the box, the Birmingham-born midfielder hit a strike just over Jenkins' bar.
And with torrential rain pouring down, victory was assured when Metz took advantage of a mistake at the back and slotted home to give the young Clarets a 3-1 victory.
