Tony Philliskirk's side extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 4-2 win over Crewe Alexandra.
A brace each from Dylan Moonan and Chris Conn-Clarke, gave the Clarets their fifth win in their last seven matches.
Burnley started bright and the presence down the right, of Kane Patterson and Rhys Fenlon was proving to be a nuisance for the Alex defence.
And the Clarets were awared a corner after numerous attacks, before opening the scoring through midfielder Moonan.
The former-Wigan man headed the ball home direct from the corner, to give Philliskirk's side the lead.
And moments later it was a duplicate of the opener, as the visitors had a second.
Moonan again, heading in from a corner, to give the Clarets a two goal advantage at the break.
However, Crewe did half the deficit early into the second half, after latching onto an error from Lewis Thomas.
But it was Burnley who then struck again, as Conn-Clarke fired home the third of the afternoon, to double the advantage.
And the Northern Irishman had a second shortly after, as the Clarets made it 4-1 late on.
The home side did grab a late consolation goal moments before the final whistle, but it was the away side who walked away with all three points, extending the unbeaten run to four matches.
