Tony Philliskirk's side fell to a second consecutive defeat in the U18 Professional Development League, after suffering a 2-0 loss at Bristol City
It was the hosts that started brightly on a sunny morning at Bristol's academy training centre.
City forward Sam Pearson had a couple of chances early on, after seeing a volley fizz just wide of the post and a strike across the face of goal narrowly missing the target.
And it was the home side that struck first just after the half-hour mark, as Pearson cut inside from the left and squared to Marlee Francois, who fired home the opener
Just moments later the Robins had the chance to double their advantage, as Francois' volley sailed just over the bar from a few yards out.
And as a very dominant City half came to a close, the South-West side added another, this time right-back Callum Pearson rifled in from close range.
Rhys Fenlon was introduced for the Clarets midway through the second half and sparked some good football down the right, after replacing Nejai Tucker.
And the substitute then came close to clawing one back as the half ticked on, as his long-range strike cannoned off the bar, before being cleared.
But despite the Clarets' best efforts at getting back into the game, City kept the visitors at bay to ensure all three points were claimed by the home side.
