The Clarets longest serving player signed a new two-year deal in May 2008, which will keep him at Turf Moor until 2010.
Competition has always been fierce throughout the Danish stoppers' Turf Moor career.
For the first half of the 2007/08 season, was Burnley's second choice to former Hungarian international Gabor Kiraly.
However after no win in seven games, the former West Bromwich Albion stopper saw his name back in the starting eleven and he saw out the campaign wearing the gloves.
A great shot-stopper, the Burnley fans will now be hoping Jensen will continue to be an asset to Owen Coyle's squad in the 2008/09 season.
Jensen first arrived in English football back in 2000, when WBA paid a fee of £100,000 to Dutch club AZ Alkmaar following an impressive trial.
He made 50 appearances for Albion, but when Gary Megson took over at The Hawthorns first team chances were few and far between.
Brian remained a popular player with fans though, who nicknamed him 'Beast' due to his giant frame - a nickname that has followed him to Turf Moor.
He initially joined the Clarets in the summer of 2003, after he was released by West Bromwich Albion.
After initially signing a two-year contract, the Dane extended his stay by penning a new three-year deal at the end of the 2004/05 campaign.
Jensen enjoyed a decent spell in the team during that season, after starting out as Steve Cotterill's second choice behind Danny Coyne.
When Coyne picked up a bad injury in October though, Brian was thrust back into the team and quickly established his credentials.
Despite Coyne's return to fitness in early 2005, Jensen retained his place in the first team with more impressive performances and it was only at the end of the season when Cotterill alternated goalkeepers for the last few matches that he missed out.
The Dane started and ended the 2006/07 season as first choice keeper, although it was not without its problems.
After a string of superb appearances, he found himself pushed down the pecking order following no win in seven games.
Wigan goalkeeper Mike Pollitt arrived on loan for a month and when he returned to the JJB, rival Coyne snatched the gloves ahead of the Dane.
Brian soon went on the transfer list at his own request, finally asking to be taken off after the January transfer window closed and regaining his place in the side in the run-in.
