Another of the young Clarets who will be hoping to make progress in the 2010/11 season with a place in the club's new development squad.

The powerful central defender finished last season on the sidelines following a knee operation which limited his reserve-team appearances.

But the Glossop youngster, who has been at Turf Moor since 2005, has been given a new 12-month contract and will now be looking to make an impact among the senior players.
