Tall central defender who hails from Blackburn and was an imposing figure for both youth and reserve teams last season as a second year apprentice.
Chris has played for Lancashire County and progressed through the Centre of Excellence, which he joined aged nine.
Strong in the air and composed on the ball, Chris played regular reserve team football in 2008/09 and In March 2009 was offered professional terms with the club.
Chris is not expected to feature in the first team squad this season, with all the first year apprentices set to be intensively coached by John Henry.
