Burnley have bolstered their defence with the loan signing of Rhys Williams from Middlesbrough in January 2009.
A talented young prospect, the 20-year-old has come through the youth academy on Teesside.
After signing a new long-term deal with Boro earlier this year, the Welsh U21 international has agreed a loan deal at Turf Moor until the summer.
Born in Perth, the 6' 2" Australian can play in any position in the back four and is also comfortable as a holding midfielder.
After continuing his impressive development in their reserve team, Williams made his senior debut for Boro in August 2008 against Yeovil in the Carling Cup - the same day he received his first call-up to the full Welsh squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Russia.
Born to an English father and an Indian mother, he has chosen to represent Wales, qualifying through his grandparents and has become a regular in their U21 side, winning eight caps.
