Dean Marney was the Clarets' first signing of the 2010/11 close season after joining from Hull City for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder arrived at Turf Moor on a three-year deal following a similar spell with the Tigers.
Marney chalked up more than 150 senior games during his time at the KC Stadium, helping Hull to promotion to the top flight for the first time in their history in 2008.
The former England under-21 international started his career at Tottenham Hotspur where he came through the White Hart Lane Academy before signing a professional contract in July 2002.
He made his senior debut in a nine-game loan stint at Swindon Town and also had loan spells with QPR and Gillingham during his time with Spurs.
Marney went on to make 11 appearances for Tottenham, scoring twice on New Year's Day 2005 in a 5-2 win over Everton.
In search of more regular first-team football, he then joined Hull in the summer of 2006 and missed just five league games as they were promoted from the Championship a season later.
Marney was then also a key player as the Tigers survived their first season in the Premier League.
The schemer was in and out of the side as Hull suffered relegation, along with the Clarets, in 2010, and that spelled the end of his spell by the Humber as Brian Laws swooped to make him an integral part of his new-look squad.
