Brian Laws was thrilled to 'un-Cork' a vintage Claret as Jack Cork made a welcome return to Turf Moor today.
Burnley have clinched an extended loan deal to bring the Chelsea midfielder back for a second spell at Burnley, subject to paperwork.
Cork spent five months with the Clarets at the end of last season when he confirmed his credentials as an outstanding midfield prospect.
And after beating off competition for his signature from up to a dozen other clubs, Laws couldn't be happier to have the England under-21 international back in his squad for the Championship campaign.
"I'm absolutely delighted to get Jack back into the club," said the Burnley boss.
"He's a good quality player, he's hungry and he's a great lad in and around the club.
"There have been a lot of clubs courting him this summer so the fact we have got him and the timing of it couldn't have been better."

Corky is back........
Laws added: "Jack had a great time in the Premier League and wanted to have another pop at that but we knew that he enjoyed his time here and that would be the main ingredient for him to come back here.
"Even though there were a lot of clubs asking to try and get him, he had a great experience with us last year and this shows that was something was right for him.
"He enjoyed his spell here and will hopefully enjoy it in the future.
"Jack's at an age where there's even more to come and we want a piece of that."
Cork made 11 appearances for the Clarets last season, signing off with his first top-flight goal in Burnley's final-day win over Tottenham.
Laws has been tracking the 21-year-old ever since and following the blow of losing Chris McCann for six months to knee surgery, stepped up his bid to clinch a deal which will see Cork stay for the season provided Chelsea don't exercise a re-call clause in January.

Jack Cork will be back in claret and blue again
"We had to react from this devastating news and react in a positive way," said the Clarets' chief, who praised club chairman Barry Kilby and operations' director Brendan Flood for sanctioning the move.
"And what better way could we do that than give some good news with the fact that Jack Cork is coming back into the football club.
"He is such a popular player with the supporters and the players that this is a great signing for us.
"It's not nice when you have bad news but the fact that we can bounce it off with some real positive news will give the supporters great hope.
"As everybody had recognised, he's a quality player coming into the club. He's a current under-21 international and you can't get better than that.
"The fans have already recognised how big a part he played for us last season and they feel he will be a great acquisition for us."
Cork trained with his 'new' team-mates this morning and has been given squad number six ahead of Saturday's trip to Ipswich Town.
