Ross Wallace scored his first goal in a Burnley shirt as the Clarets strolled to a comfortable win in their opening pre-season friendly at Bury.
Wallace took just 33 minutes to make his mark following his recent arrival from Preston as he put Burnley ahead at Gigg Lane.

Steven Thompson doubled the lead and Chris Eagles added a cheeky third late on as boss Brian Laws gave all his available senior players a run-out.
Tyrone Mears missed out with a slight hamstring strain which allowed Richard Eckersley to play for 68 minutes.
Goalkeeper Brian Jensen also continued at the start of the second half but Laws made nine outfield changes at the break as the Clarets showed their squad strength.
Wallace was the only new face to figure in the starting line-up, although the return of Chris McCann felt like an extra addition to Burnley's midfield.
And McCann, fully fit again following the knee problems that wrecked his Premier League season, enjoyed an influential 45 minutes once the Clarets began to find their stride.

Bury started in lively fashion with striker Andy Bishop firing just wide for the League Two side.
But McCann got Burnley moving forward when he linked with Thompson and forced Cameron Belford to save his volley struck from just inside the penalty area.
And the young Irishman was involved again as the Clarets went ahead.
Collecting a mis-placed pass from the heart of the Bury defence, McCann immediately had the Shakers' rearguard on the back foot as he fed Wallace on the charge and the winger needed no second invitation to drive into the box and smack a left-footed shot past Belford.

Wallace showed enough to prove what an asset he will be this season, while Wade Elliott also demonstrated that Laws will not be short of creative options.
Jay Rodriguez also grew into the game and fizzed one long-range effort just wide before Burnley doubled their advantage in the final minute of the first half.
The best move of the game involved almost a dozen passes before Rodriguez nodded down Elliott's chipped pass for Thompson to calmly slot home and continue the rich vein of scoring form he showed at the end of last season.
Summer signings Chris Iwelumo and Dean Marney were then handed their first taste of action at the start of the second half.

And while the pace of the game slowed on a warm afternoon, the Clarets finished strongly in front of an impressive following of 1,815 travelling supporters.
While Kevin McDonald swung the ball around nicely in midfield, Eagles had carried Burnley's major attacking threat and it was fitting that he completed the scoring with eight minutes to go.

The winger had gone close a couple of times before he accepted a pass from Alex-Ray Harvey and coolly chipped the ball over Belford and into the far corner to complete an encouraging work-out in eye-catching style.
