Brian Jensen insists Burnley will bounce back from Saturday's defeat to bottom club Portsmouth.
Jensen did his best to inspire the Clarets with a fine penalty save from Pompey's Jamie O'Hara.
The 'Beast' couldn't repeat his heroics when Yassan Hebda converted a second spot-kick to give the visitors all three points from a 2-1 win.
But Jensen has no doubts that Brian Laws' men can recover from the set-back to climb out of the relegation places over the final 11 games of the season.
"On paper everybody will see it as a big defeat and that's us doomed, but I don't believe in that," stressed the Clarets' keeper.
"We have a great spirit and a great bunch of lads and we have to bounce back. With the spirit in the team we have a good chance to.
"We do have the character and the spirit in the club and this is where we have to really stick together.
"We want a couple of wins and we want to get out of it as soon as possible so the quicker we get the points on the board the better."

Brian Jensen wants a couple of quick wins
Portsmouth's move into administration and impending nine-point penalty appeared to lift the pressure from Avram Grant's side as they completed the double over Burnley.
But a superb equaliser from Martin Paterson should have given the Clarets some reward and had the otherwise impressive Steven Fletcher headed home a great chance with the scores level at 1-1 it could well have been a different story.
Jensen had just kept out O'Hara's penalty but a second badly timed challenge from Clarke Carlisle allowed Yebda to hand Burnley a third home defeat of the campaign.
"You save the penalty and you hope it will give everyone a boost. It did for a few minutes but unfortunately it didn't work out for us today," Jensen added.
"I thought Portsmouth were decent and I think they played with a little bit of a free spirit after everything that had happened.
"It was one of those games where either of the sides could have nicked the win and unfortunately it wasn't us.
"It wasn't our day so we have to see if we can get the points from somewhere else.
"There are still a lot of points to play for so we have to get back on the bike again and we will bounce back."
