Burnley Football Club is proud to announce an extension of the away travel service to our growing supporter base.

Complimenting the excellent service currently provided by various supporters clubs, Clarets Away Travel through the 'Clarets Coach' aims to make travel to away games even more accessible to fans of all ages.

Specifically aimed at families, Clarets Away Travel will offer safe, secure parking at Turf Moor, stewarded coaches and on-board entertainment for the journeys.

Refreshments will be provided on board all coaches, which are strictly alcohol and smoke free.

David McAtamney, Travel Planning Consultant at Burnley FC, said: "We are delighted to offer this new service, which we hope will supplement the current coach travel already being organised by volunteers from our various supporters clubs.

"Clearly these supporters clubs have a recognised, well used service used by a dedicated band of fans and we understand these people may wish to continue to use official supporters' club travel.

"What this new service hopefully does is make travel more accessible for a larger number of fans in our expanding supporter base, who perhaps may not be a member of a supporters club and yet wish to travel as a family of group of friends.

"If many of these fans travel by car it obviously falls on one person to drive, whereas this way fans can let the coach take the strain.

"There are obviously green credentials to operating the new service and in doing all we can to ensure that more Burnley supporters travel to away games as possible in safety and comfort, I am hopeful that we can, in turn, help Owen Coyle and the team."

Burnley Football Club would like to reiterate that contrary to speculation on message boards, Clarets Away Travel is not being launched as a long term, compulsory replacement for the current Supporters' Club coaches. As indicated above, it is intended to compliment the existing travel plans of many supporters.
