Clarets skipper Jason Shackell believes Burnley can make Turf Moor a fortress once again next season.
Dyche’s men lost just twice when experiencing the comforts of home on their way to promotion, winning 15 games and drawing the other 6.
And whilst he is under illusions of the toughness of the test, the 30-year-old is looking forward to making it an uncomfortable trip for some of the world’s finest footballers when Chelsea are the first visitors on August, 18.
He said: “We can look forward to the start of the season, it’s a great one to kick us off against.
“As a player, you want to be testing yourself against the best players and Chelsea have certainly got some of those.
“It’ll be a tough game, we all know that but it’s also one we’re looking forward to and one we’ll be ready for.
“It’s at Turf Moor and we’re looking to make it a tough place to come again this year.
“We’re going to make sure it’s uncomfortable for everyone this season and that we’re fit and organised.
“We’ll give 100% in every game and see where that takes us.
“We got written off at the start of last season and we ended up having a pretty good year so we’ll just worry about ourselves.”
The players are currently preparing both physically and mentally for that curtain raiser in their Austrian training base and Shackell says everything is in place as the Clarets look to lay the foundations for another successful season.
He added: “It’s a lovely place, it’s a great hotel and the food has been great as well whilst we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us this week, that’s what we need to get us ready for the start of the season.
“We know we’ve got a day coming up which we call the gaffer’s day where he will test us all.
“And it worked for us last year and put us in good stead for the season so we’ll be ready for it!”
Shackell was speaking after modelling the new PUMA 2014/15 Away Kit, which will be worn by the players for the first time on Sunday in the friendly against FC GrossKlein, and it appears the captain is a fan of the new all black strip.
“I really like it, it’s a nice away kit, it fits nicely and I think it looks pretty good too.
“The home kit is also very nice so two really good kits this year.
“You want it to fit nice and you don’t want a high collar that’s going to restrict you and if we get some results in it that is all that matters!”
