Burnley Football Club is delighted to learn that Academy goalkeeper Connor King has, once again, been called up to the England Goalkeeper Training camp.
King, who is entering his fourth season at Turf Moor, has linked up with the England set-up before when he was called up for the fixture against Wales in the U16 Sky Sports Victory Shield.
The 15-year-old will now take part in the two-day training camp at St Georges Park under the watchful eye of goalkeeping coaches Simon Smith, Martin Thomas and Tim Dittmer.
During his time with the Clarets, Connor has performed at a consistently high level which has seen him play in age groups above his own.
And Academy Manager Jason Blake is delighted that King has received further recognition from the FA.
He said: “We are pleased that the English FA have once again called Connor to St Georges Park for their training camp in August.
“This is a welcome addition to the specific training programme we provide to Connor at the club.
“The added experience and knowledge he gains from the FA coaches will only help him to develop and progress.
“It also serves as an excellent example to the other Academy players that the England national scouts are looking at the talent outside of the category one Academies.”
Congratulations to Connor, from everyone at Burnley Football Club.
