Michael Duff maintained his unbeaten record as U18s manager this weekend following a hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to Preston North End.
RJ Pingling, pictured above, was on target with his first goal for the Clarets as Burnley followed up their opening back-to-back wins with a further point.
It was the hosts who got the ball rolling early on.
Oliver Younger dinked a through ball over the Preston defence which Pingling latched onto, however his effort was just wide of the goal.
However, minutes later the home side struck as Olatunde Bayode won a header 30 yards out from goal which fell into the path of Pingling, who burst into the box and slotted past Callum Roberts in the Preston goal.
North End then came close to equalising before the break, as Melle Meulensteen pulled of an effort on goal 25 yards out, forcing a terrific save from Marcel Wusiewicz.
It was the Clarets who came out on the front foot form the restart as Younger played a long ball up field to Tommy Wood, who held the ball up well before crossing the ball in to Pingling, who headed the ball inches wide of Roberts' goal.
But just after the hour mark the away side grabbed their equaliser as Dylan Davidson headed home.
Both sides could have won it late on, as first Tyler Shrimpton laid off the ball to James Clarke, whose ambitious effort outside the box went just over the bar.
And the visitors almost slotted home a winner late on as Howard - unmarked at the back post - smashed an effort at goal only for Kwasinkosi Mpogu to put his body on the line and deny the midfielder.
BURNLEY: Wusiewicz, Grogan, Younger, Wilson, Mpofu, Egan, Shrimpton, Clarke, Bayode, Pingling, Wood (McNeil 72).
